Cristina Rizea DMD, PhD
BiographyDr. Cristina Rizea graduated from the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest in 2011. She then pursued a three-year residency program in prosthetic dentistry and a three-year PhD program in the field of removable dentures and implant overdentures. In the period 2013–2015, she taught clinical classes for fifth-year dental students in the removable dentures department at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Since 2018, Cristina has been a lecturer of the prosthetics-orthodontics collaboration module for the masters’ program in orthodontics at the Universidad de Extremadura in Badajoz, Spain. She has lectured in various countries and at several events on dental prosthetics, career orientation in dentistry as well as dental volunteering topics. As of 2009, Cristina attended and conducted dental volunteer work projects in Romania, Indonesia, India, Tanzania and Kenya, and is currently coordinating the dentistry department of the Romanian NGO Caravan of Doctors.
